Each year we look forward to ringing in the new year because it means new beginnings - the year of change, the year of progress and prosperity, the year of finally achieving those goals and realising our dreams. But how do we move past it now! It feels like so long ago when we celebrated ringing in 2025 but when I look at the calendar, it's still 30th January. And there's still one more day to go. 31st January!
As much as we sometimes want the days or weeks to be a little longer to finish our pending tasks and chores, with January it's the opposite - it feels like it's never ending.
If we don't move past the first month then how do we move a bit further towards the finish line. Do you think January being too long is the reason that it is followed by February, the short and sweet month.
Is this feeling only for us, who are in North India? Is it the weather, the long freezing dark days or is it a world-wide phenomena?
Atleast 31st January is a Friday that means February starts on a weekend making it even shorter and more fun for us and accompanied with our usual 4 weekends. 31 days in January and 28 days in February and we still get our 4 sets of weekends and 8 days just lazying around :)
