I Too Am a Mom

Well, maybe not conventionally but why is it not my right to be called a Mom when I love my pets like one. When I think of my two female dogs as my daughters. When I am at work and I can't wait to get home to be with them. When I have sleepless nights if one of them falls even a little sick. When they get super excited to see me come home. When even the slightest of reprimand makes me overthink if I was too hard on them. When I make sure that all the chocolates are hidden and an absolute NO to raisins entering our house.
And a year back when my elder one and today when my younger one got her period and I got a little emotional thinking that you're just a baby... don't grow up too fast.
I hear moms discussing their kids and sometimes the situation (believe you me) is totally relatable but I keep mum to not offend anyone. I am not saying human babies are same as puppies, not at all, but the love in both situations is unconditional :)
Out of this love, I do have a request to make - as much as I love festivals and look forward to each one of them, Dusshera and Diwali are terrifying for all animals. Please go ahead and celebrate by all means but see if you can burst only a few crackers, rather stick to anaars, chakris and phuljhadis (not like any of it is good for our already high AQIs) to reduce the loud noises.
Having said that, wishing you all a wonderful October, have a lovely time celebrating the festive month. Oh, I just remembered, the Mystery Bags for October are now available. 4/5 slots are remaining. For more details refer to the last newsletter or revert to this email.
And, if you too are a dog mom, I would love to see your photos with your babies. Feel free to send us or tag us on Instagram. |
