Of Greased Fingers and Weird Smells

I hope you all are doing well. Been long since I sent the last newsletter and quite a few things have happened since then, well nothing dramatic or juicy!
This one fine day I woke up with a feeling that I no longer wanted to teach or maybe I no longer wanted to just keep teaching and maybe move on to something bigger or better that can be scaled. I could have scaled LearnPPCwithme by hiring more trainers but I didn't want to. I just don't want to open up an institute (atleast not for now).
One thing led to another and somehow I decided to join my family business and my father a little reluctantly also let me in. I was already doing the simpler things, like sending emails or taking printouts.. lol..
So, since the last 3-4 months I have been involved in the factory (we manufacture automobile parts and it's all steel and iron and grease and completely opposite to what I was doing earlier), there is so much to learn and who knew this could be so technical - the machines, the parts, the drawings of the items we are supposed to make, the men (blue collar staff) finding it difficult to have a female in position of authority, sometimes (most of the times) overwhelming too, . But, I have decided to take it one step at a time (unlike the first 2 months when I was trying to become an expert at everything at once).
But Dramatic Finds' is still thriving, my creative outlet and my way to stay in touch with fun and fashion, a passion project - with my love for finding dramatic pieces only growing, wanting more of you to start thrifting or even if buying new then consciously only sustainable materials.
LearnPPCwithme is alive too, though I am not active. It's not easy to shut shop on something you spent years building, getting known for, earning trust & receiving awards for.
Sitting in my office, typing this email with somewhat greased fingers, looking out at - machines running, people working, steel everywhere - hoping more women will be seen in more such factories running them smoothly, being in leadership positions, and being respected and understanding that we are NOT here as a backup but as a first choice :)
